Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the app, BabyNote may process the following information:
- Account information, such as authentication provider, email address if provided by the provider, and internal user ID.
- Baby profile information, such as name or nickname, birth date, sex, blood type, caregiver relationship, and profile photo.
- Baby care records, such as feeding, sleep, baby food, diaper, temperature, timestamps, amounts, and notes entered by caregivers.
- Growth and family diary content, such as height, weight, photos, text notes, likes, comments, and related timestamps.
- Family sharing information, such as caregiver memberships, invitation links, and author attribution used to show who added a record.
- Account deletion request records, such as request status, request time, and a snapshot email if available.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide core app features, keep records synced across signed-in devices, support family sharing, restore hidden baby profiles when appropriate, process deletion requests, and maintain account security.
Sign-In Providers and Infrastructure
BabyNote uses Apple Sign in, Google Sign-In, and Supabase for authentication, database, and storage infrastructure. Photos and record data may be stored through Supabase services so that signed-in users and invited family members can access shared family data.
Family Sharing
If you invite another caregiver, that caregiver may view and contribute to the baby space that you share with them. Shared records may remain visible to other authorized family members depending on the account deletion and data retention rules described below.
Data Retention and Deletion
You can request account deletion from the app settings. A deletion request is recorded first, then processed through an authorized server or support workflow. Some data may be retained temporarily where needed for support, safety, audit, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or to preserve shared family records for remaining authorized caregivers.
For more details, see Account Deletion.
Photos
If you attach photos to baby profiles, diaper records, or family diary entries, those photos are used to display the content inside the app. Avoid uploading content that you do not have permission to share with invited caregivers.
Children's Privacy
BabyNote is intended for parents and caregivers. The app is not intended to be used directly by children. Caregivers are responsible for the baby information they choose to enter.
Security
We use authentication, database access rules, and storage permissions to limit data access to signed-in users and authorized family members. No online service can guarantee perfect security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app, infrastructure, or legal requirements change. The updated date at the top of this page shows when the page was last revised.
